FILEFRUIT POLICY
Privacy Policy
FileFruit is operated by Jacob Franco in North Carolina, United States. Contact support@filefruit.com. FileFruit is a general-audience service, is not directed to children under 13, and does not provide user accounts. Effective date: 2026-07-21.
Tools marked as local process selected files inside your browser. Temporary in-browser preview and download URLs disappear when revoked or when the page session ends.
HEIC is the only remote file-processing workflow at launch; every other tool currently marked local stays in the browser.
The application targets deletion within one hour. Private temporary object storage also has a one-day lifecycle rule as a backup if application cleanup is delayed.
At launch FileFruit has no accounts, payments, advertising, marketing email, newsletter, behavioral tracking, or custom conversion-event analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics is intended for aggregate page and performance measurement without FileFruit cookies or local identifiers. A manually selected locale remains in browser local storage until changed or cleared.
FileFruit currently sets no application cookies. A locale preference may be stored in local storage; consent to secure file upload is not persisted.
Local work uses your browser and device. Hosted pages use the configured web host or CDN; consented HEIC work uses the configured gateway, native processor, and private temporary object storage.
Advertising slots remain inactive unless a provider is configured. Tools continue to work when analytics or advertising is blocked.
FileFruit uses Cloudflare for web delivery, security, private temporary storage, and aggregate Web Analytics, and Google Cloud for the consented HEIC processor. These service providers may process coarse request, browser, operating-system, country, security, and performance data in other countries. Processing is limited to providing the requested service, consent where requested, legitimate security and abuse prevention, and legal obligations where applicable. Temporary HEIC files, outputs, and controls are targeted for deletion within one hour, with a private one-day object-storage lifecycle backup. Configurable infrastructure and security logs are retained no longer than 30 days; support and privacy correspondence may be retained for up to 12 months after resolution, or longer where needed for security, legal, or abuse documentation. Depending on applicable law, users may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability and may complain to an appropriate regulator by contacting support@filefruit.com.
This policy may change as features, providers, or legal requirements change; material changes will be posted with a new effective date. External legal review and any requirement for an EU representative remain launch-review questions and are not represented as settled.
