How it works
FileFruit decodes the JPEG pixels and writes a new PNG file. The format changes, but the already-compressed source detail does not return.
Important limitations
- PNG output is often larger than a photographic JPG.
- Conversion cannot restore detail removed by JPEG compression.
- JPEG does not contain transparency to recover.

FAQ
Will converting JPG to PNG improve quality?
No. It prevents further JPEG encoding in that output, but it cannot recreate lost detail.
