UPCOMING · RELEASE CANDIDATE · 2026-08-12

v1.2.0 release candidate

  • Replaced crawler-time social image generation with static, inexpensive OG assets, preventing Worker CPU failures under crawler traffic.
  • Turned the x-default root into a usable English landing page and cleaned up canonicals, reciprocal hreflang, and SEO routing.
  • Verified independent batch outcomes and ZIP downloads, and fixed AVIF capability detection so unsupported browsers do not advertise an unavailable conversion.
  • Expanded publication from 20 to 44 locales, with compact localized tool narratives and native-language conversion search phrases.
  • Added script- and region-aware locale resolution for Portuguese, Chinese, Serbian, Norwegian, Filipino, and legacy Hebrew language tags.

EARLIER RELEASE · 2026-07-28

v1.1 series

  • Removable batch queues, visible limits, and independent per-file outcomes.
  • Correct mixed local and consented HEIC/HEIF processing.
  • Previewable audio, video, and GIF ranges plus a roomier crop editor.
  • Structured metadata inspection with sensitive-field highlighting.
  • First-party, coarse funnel analytics with no filenames, file contents, extracted metadata, or persistent user identifiers.

SHIPPED · 2026-07-21

v1.0.1 initial launch

FileFruit launched with no-account tools for images, PDFs, media, ZIP archives, and file inspection. Supported work runs locally in the browser; HEIC conversion uses a temporary secure processor only after explicit approval.
